What if ...we could turn learning a language into changing the world? Global Citizenship and Language Learning - Integrating Global Citizenship as a competence into our ELT curriculum is but a step away. English teachers can not only alert learners and get them thinking and talking about critical universal issues affecting us all today, but more importantly, get them involved in action to actually do something about these issues using their newly acquired English language and global citizenship skills. This workshop will give teachers a taste of what can be done with all ages.
Teresa Doğuelli has been a teacher and trainer for nearly 40 years. She has lived and worked in Turkey since 1979, teaching adults, university undergraduates, teenagers and children. She has trained teachers, teacher trainers and ELT inspectors for many institutions including the Turkish Ministry of National Education. Full time teacher trainer for Macmillan, she has an MA in Applied Linguistics and a Dip.RSA TEFLA.
